Pior to 9.x, when installing a newer version of Acrobat w/ Reader, the installer prompts which app (Acrobat or Reader) to be the default .pdf reader.

With this combination (Reader 8.2.3 installed, installing Acrobat 9.0) the 9.x installer does not prompt. Instead it makes Acrobat 9.0 the default viewer in I.E.

I've opened Acrobat, edit preferences disabling "...pdf in browser" then opened Reader, edit prefs and first disabled the same "...browser" and then enabled the browser option. This doesn't work as I.E. prompts to save or open the file now and does not open the pdf in the browser with either app.
