How can I set a bookmark to be halfway down the page and avoid being taken to the top page all over again using Adobe Acrobat?

The easiest way to do this is to simply right-click halfway down the page and select 'Add Bookmark' from the context-menu. When you click on that bookmark it will show you the part of the page that you were viewing when you created the bookmark.
